  18. Dear Julie,
I got to meet your son four months after your trip to heaven. Your Jared is an upstanding pillar of this Hillsboro community.
You see, I’m new to town, over sixty and I needed some help as part of my move. Your son was recommended buy those wonderful ladies at City Hall.
He’s moved boxes and Furniture, hung Christmas lights, offered me his friendship, and has gifted me with Josee Jo. I also have your washer and dryer so that he can come over and wash clothes anytime he needs to do so.
He gives great hugs. He always has a thoughtful smile and a kind word. He’s tenacious, he’s a comfort, he’s thoughtful and communicates with love in his heart, he’s coping, and he’s going to finish out his senior year and make you even more proud. He misses you tremendously.
I promise to help him anyway that I can as he continues to grow into that strong man you gave birth to and had hopes for. He deserves all that is kind in his path.
Thank you for the gift of your son for he has filled a hole in my heart.
With much gratotude, respect and continued allegiance,
