Kenneth H. “Kenny” Rogers

Kenneth H. “Kenny” Rogers 55, died September 4, 2022 at his Walton residence. He was born February 14, 1967 in Goodland, Kansas to William and Nancy (Voeller) Rogers. On June 3, 1989 he married Anita J. Sommerfeld at Colby, Kansas and she survives of the home.
Kenny worked for the Harvey County Road and Bridge Department. He was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church in Newton. Kenny’s passion was working on hot rods or anything motorized. He was a devoted husband and wonderful friend to everyone, willing to lend a hand whenever needed. He will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his wife, Anita, of the home; father, William (Elaine) Rogers; four brothers Dan (Jen) Blair, Brian Rogers, Ron (Nancy) Sivey, and Mike Sivey; two sisters Sara Rogers and Sherry Sivey. He is also survived by numerous uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother Nancy and brother Gary.
Memorial service will be 10:30 a.m., Friday, September 16, 2022 at Zion Lutheran Church in Newton with Pastor Kurt Letcher presiding. Visitation will be at the Zion Lutheran Church from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday September 15, 2022. Burial will be at 2:00 p.m., Friday September 16th at the Tampa Lutheran Cemetery in Tampa, Kansas.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Good Shepherd Hospice or Zion Lutheran Church and left with Petersen Funeral Home.
