Konner Lynne Hayes Maxwell

Konner Lynne Hayes Maxwell, 29, passed away on Saturday, June 22nd, 2024 in Newton, Kansas. She was born on December 29, 1994 to Kevin and Chari Hayes. She is survived by her husband James Maxwell, step children Lily, Colin, and Dublin, parents Kevin and Chari Hayes, sister Kara Hayes, aunts Kelly Hayes, Linda Smtih, Lorese Walton, Alice Walton, grandfather Dale Hayes, and countless family and friends who loved her so much.

Konner was raised in Hesston, Kansas where she graduated high school in 2013. She completed her associates degree in Business Management and Entrepreneurship from Hutchinson Community College in 2023 and had a bright future in her new job with USA Containers. She also worked part time at Acapulco Restaurant and recently left a supervisor position at Freddys Frozen Custard and Steakburgers in Newton.

Konner worked hard to overcome addiction and was proud to have been able to achieve over 6 years of sobriety with the help of her family and friends. She was a great listener and encourager to others struggling with their own challenges. 

Konner was so happy to have married the love of her life and longtime partner, James Maxwell, on April 1, 2024. They worked hard to build a life together with James’ children and cherished many happy memories together.

Konner was a bright spot in the lives of everyone who knew her. She loved people and had an endless circle of friends that she treasured. She was always ready with a hug, a witty remark to make you laugh and a smile that never stopped. She lived life to fullest, was always making plans, chatting with friends, making time for the people she loved. Our lives will never be the same without her.
