Larry Lynn “Bean” Flores 66, a jack of all trades and lifelong resident of Newton, KS passed away in his home on January 9th, 2018. Larry was born in Newton the son of Tony Basil and Angela (Espitia) Flores on December 19, 1951.
Larry is survived by his children; daughter, Sarah Marie Flores; sons Brandon (Natasha) Flores, Brian (Jennifer) Schoby; parents, Basil (Tony) and Angela Flores. Brothers; Ron Flores, Charles Flores, Mike Flores, and Bobby Flores. Grandchildren; Brandon Lynn Jr, Christian Larry, Larae, Sophia, Mia, and Kaitlyn.
He is preceded in death by a son; Larry Flores Jr.
The family will be holding a private Celebration of Life Service
The family is asking that in lieu of flowers that memorials be left to the Larry “Bean” Flores Funeral Fund, to aid in defraying funeral costs and may be left in c/o Petersen Funeral Home, 215 N. Main, Newton, KS 67114.
We have good memories of Bean (Larry) and pray he rests with peace in his soul.

I remember Larry “Bean” from when I practically lived at the skating rink growing up. I LOVED watching him skate! Rest in peace Larry.

Larry left a lot of fun memories in those who knew him!! I think everyone who grew up in Newton knew “Bean”, He could sure make you laugh! Larry will be missed by many! May God bring comfort in knowing that he was loved by many and prayed for by many. I will miss his Smile, I went to school with him at Santa Fe. He was very well liked. May God keep him in His Grace.
I would have liked to have attended his celebration of life however I respect the family’s wishes for privacy. I haven’t seen Mike since we were kids & kind of lost contact.
