Leonard S. Siebuhr Jr.

Leonard L. Siebuhr Jr. 86 died May 31, 2015 at his Newton residence. He was born August 17, 1928 in Lebo, Kansas to Leonard L Sr. and Opal Grace Summa Siebuhr.  He grew up on a farm near Hartford, Kansas.  Leonard worked as a mechanic and retired as an overland truck driver for Coors Brewing Company in Colorado. He also drove for Conklin cars in his retirement years.  Leonard was a tinkerer and fixer. He enjoyed repairing things and using his mechanic skills.  He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

Leonard is survived by his wife Wilma of the home; sons: Bryan Siebuhr of Denver, CO and Greg Siebuhr of Tennessee; brothers: Buford Siebuhr of Hutchinson, KS and Eldon Siebuhr of Emporia, KS; sisters Theda Walford of Emporia, KS, Elaine Smith of Emporia, KS and Audrey Ziegler of Columbus, GA.  He also is survived by 3 grandchildren.

Leonard is preceded in death by his parents and one sister Carma Hollar

Graveside committal service will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, June 6, 2015 at the Hartford Cemetery in Hartford, Kansas with Chaplain Rocky Schmied presiding.

Memorials are suggested to Heartland Hospice in care of Petersen Funeral Home.
