Lewis H. Yotter, 68, passed away November 11, 2021, at his residence in Newton surrounded by his family.

He was born on January 3, 1953, in Newton, the son of Donald and Ester (Beech) Yotter.

Lewis is survived by his son, Jason Lee Yotter; daughter, Melody Ann Yotter and fiancé, Jared Allen; six grandchildren; and two step-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Ester Yotter; and a brother, Gerald Yotter.

Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Monday, November 15, 2021, at Petersen Funeral Home in Newton.

  1. I remember Louie from when we were just kids. My sister & I would go horseback riding with him & Mitch Watkins (may he RIP). We had so much fun!
    After a gap of almost 40 years, I recently accepted his friend request on FB, but never got the chance to chat with him.
    Whether our lives are spent good, bad or indifferent, life goes by too quickly. I’m grateful for the good memories of Louie.
    May God Bless the Yotter family with love & comfort through this difficult time.
