Linda “Jewel” Poole

Linda “Jewel” Poole, 39, died on September 17, 2022, at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita, Kansas. She was surrounded by loved ones.

She was born on December 11, 1982, the daughter of Ralph “Dennis” Stevens and Regina (Langston) DiCharia. Jewel graduated from Fernandina Beach High School in Florida with the class of 2000.

Jewel worked as a manager at Charlie’s restaurant while earning her C.N.A. certificate. She then moved on to work at Asbury Park in memory support while earning her C.M.A. certificate. At the time of her death she was employed at Kidron Bethel Village. She was working on becoming an LPN.

Jewel enjoyed serving God, giving to others, attending church, neighborhood gatherings and going to the women’s encounters. She also enjoyed teaching kids ministry.

On September 21, 2013, Jewel was united in marriage to Jason Poole in Newton, Kansas. The following year they welcomed their son, Jayden Poole. Jewel was over the moon about becoming a mom, she loved spending time and watching him grow.

Jewel is survived by her husband of 9 years, Jason Poole; son, Jayden Poole; mother, Regina DiCharia; maternal grandmother, Linda Roberts; maternal grandfather, John E. Langston, Sr.; sisters, Denise Click, Crystal Turley, and Kayla Stevens; brothers, Dennis Stevens and Steven Smith; step-mother, Roberta Stevens; husbands parents, Tim and Layna Clark and John and Edwina Poole; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in the death by her father Ralph “Dennis” Stevens; paternal grandmother, Aggie Stevens; and paternal grandfather, Ernest Stevens.

Celebration of life services will be at 1:00 p.m., Friday, September 30, 2022, at The Gathering Church, 518 N. Main St., Newton, Kansas 67114

  1. I am very sorry for your family’s great loss. I remember Jewel’s incredible smile and laugh. Such a wonderful person. She will be very missed. She left you/us much too soon. M

  2. I miss her dearly. I remember the tim her, her husband and I ate lunch at Arby’s. I didn’t even know she was sick. She is the same age as me. She touched every life that she came in contact with. She is a beautiful person inside and out. Sorry for your loss. She went way too soon.
