Troy Moore, 57, died at Wesley Medical Center on Monday,
January 16, 2017.
Troy was born in Olathe, Kansas on August 4, 1959 to Charles “Chuck” Honeyman and Shirley Moore.
Troy attended and graduated from Peabody/Burns school system in 1977. He was a talented athlete playing multiple sports and later as a player and coach in softball. He enjoyed NCAA sports and especially followed KSU football and the Lady Cats basketball. He was a huge baseball fan and the last two years of Royals baseball were wonderful for Troy.
Troy had many talents and gifts besides his athletic ability. He loved math and numbers. which aided him in his career as a land surveyor. He was a great pool player, knew many card tricks, great cook, a good joke teller with a great sense of humor, golfer, fisherman, and lover of his dogs,
He will be remembered as a hardworking man, who greatly loved and cared for his children, grandchildren and his companion of twenty one years, Julie Brosemer.
He is survived by his companion: Julie Brosemer; children: Ali Moore, Alex “A.J.” Moore and his wife, Cisca; siblings: Mike (Gail), Mark (Sharon), Jeffrey (Carrie), Jerome (Bridget), Kelly Stephenson; father: Chuck (Betty) Honeyman; four grandchildren and his beloved dog, Jordy.
He was preceded in death by his mother: Shirley (Neukirch)
Moore; and adopted father, Garrold Anthony Moore.
The family has requested that a memorial be set up for the “Troy Moore Family Fund”, in care of Petersen Funeral Home, 215 N. Main, Newton, Kansas 67114.

A very wonderful and dynamic man that will be dearly missed by his family and friends. The memories we have of Troy will truly be cherished. I’m lucky to have him as an uncle.
