Marlene Anduss

Marlene A Anduss 78, died Thursday, February 27, 2014 at her Marion residence.  She was born July 9, 1935 in Hillsboro, Kansas to Henry and Mary Lou (Gibson) Gaede.  On January 21, 1955 she married Reign Anduss in Newton, Kansas and he survives of the home.  Marlene was a member of the Business and Professional Women’s Association, she enjoyed bowling, playing cards and spending time with her loving family and many friends.  She also enjoyed collecting salt and peppers shakers and had a large collection she has acquired through the years. Marlene was known for her pie baking skills and enjoyed baking and sharing her pie creations with family and friends.

 

Marlene is survived by her husband Reign Anduss of Marion, Kansas; daughters Connie and David Baker of Argonia, Kansas. Marsha and Doug Strecker of Hesston, Kansas and  Roxan Toppings of Newton, Kansas.  She is also survived by brothers Virgene Gaede of Newton, Kansas, Ragene Gaede of Holcomb, Kansas, sisters Charlene Sullivan Peabody, Kansas, Jolene West Ft. Scott, Kansas, Rolene Gaede, Racine, Wisonsin. 7 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren

 

She is preceded in death by her parents, sister Darlene Peterson and brothers Eugene and Lugene Gaede.

 

Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Monday, March 3, 2014 at Petersen Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain Bill Eichelberger presiding.  Visitation will be 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday at Petersen Funeral Home Chapel with the family receiving friends from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

 

Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery Newton, Kansas

 

Memorials are suggested to Good Shepherd Hospice in care of Petersen Funeral Home.
