Marlene Pierce, 93, died on Friday, November 28^th  in Newton, Kansas.

Marlene was born in France on September 12, 1921 to Albert and Suzanne Zanella.  She lived in France for 26 years and then moved to the United States to start a life with her husband, Roy Lee Pierce.

She loved classical music and traveled extensively in Europe and the Mediterranean.

She is survived by her two children: daughter, Renee Brubacher; son, Roy Pierce and five grandchildren and four great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., December 4, 2014, at Petersen Funeral Home Chapel in Newton.  Interment will follow the service at Resthaven Cemetery in Wichita.  A memorial has been established for Catholic Charities of Wichita. Petersenfamilyfuneralhome.com.
