Martha Krueger, 93, died May 6, 2022, at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita, Kansas.
She was born on July 11, 1928, in Newton, Kansas, the daughter of John and Cecelia (Newbold) Stamm.
On December 7, 1947, Martha was united in marriage to Paul Calvin Krueger. They were married for 55 years at the time of his passing in 2002.
For many years Martha worked at Southwestern Bell / ATT&T, where her friendly demeanor and hard work earned her the nickname of “mighty mouse”.
Martha was a kind, loving and caring person. She loved animals (especially dachshunds) and enjoyed spending time volunteering at Caring Hands Humane Society.
With a passion for cooking, Martha was always happy to read and add a new cookbook to her collection. Her favorite thing to make was her famous “Martha’s Mashed Potatoes”.
Martha is survived by her daughter, Pam McKellip; many extended family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Calvin Krueger; parents, John and Cecelia Stamm; and brothers, Sanford, Chester, and James Stamm.
A visitation will be from 1 pm to 5 pm on Sunday, May 15th, 2022, at Petersen Funeral Home in Newton, Kansas. A private family burial will then take place at Greenwood Cemetery in Newton
Memorial contributions in Martha’s name may be made to Caring Hands Humane Society in Newton, Kansas, in care of Petersen Funeral Home.
