Diane Overaa

Martha Diane (White) Overaa, born in Roanoke, Virginia on June 27, 1953, passed away on November 21, 2020 in Wichita, Kansas. Diane was born to Mildred Florence (Boothe) and Billie Jeanne White, and while she was young the family moved to San Diego, California where she grew up and graduated high school in 1972. Diane married Ronnie Max Grattan on September 29, 1973 and soon joined him in Japan where she gave birth to two wonderful children, Jennifer Lee and David Paul. Upon returning to the states she lived in Sedgwick, Kansas and Montana, before eventually settling in Newton, Kansas. It was there that Diane married David A. Overaa on February 25, 1984. Over her life Diane enjoyed many hobbies such as bowling and poker. She also had a great love for animals, having many different pets throughout her life. Diane’s greatest joy came in watching her children and grandchildren grow; she was incredibly supportive of them all and cherished each of her moments with them.

Diane is survived by her loving husband David, her children Jennifer (John) Horn, and David (Tabitha) Grattan , her grandchildren: Alexis Grattan, Hailey Grattan, Kaitlyn Grattan, Ronni Horn, Drake Grattan, John Horn, Brianna Hadaway, Ashlyn Pryor, Trinity Pryor,  great grandchild Layla Gillespie, and brother Paul (Debbie) Johnson, of Encinitas, California. Diane is greatly missed by those left behind, she was a beautiful soul, and the impact she has left on those around her will not soon be forgotten.
