Michael Anthony Payne

Michael Anthony Payne died May 4, 2022, at his home in Newton, Kansas. Michael was born March 27, 1966 in Raleigh, North Carolina to Elvis and Dorthy Payne.

Michael received an education in welding technologies, and he continued to weld until his health started to decline. While Michael was employed in welding, he met Wanda Ivy and the two hand fasted and enjoyed their years together.

He is survived by his life partner Wanda Ivy, one son David Payne, two brothers, Kenneth Payne and J.T. (Leaha) Payne, one sister, Linda Freese.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

Cremation has taken place and in lieu of flowers, memorials contributions may be made to the family or Caring Hands Humane Society in care of Petersen Funeral Home.
