Nellie Esau, age 100, homemaker and former resident of Newton, passed away Sept. 25, 2013, in Newton. She was married to Walter Esau on Sept. 22, 1935. He preceded her in death in 1992.Survivors include: brothers, Frank Koehn and Irwin Koehn; children: daughters, Delores J. Yoder and husband, Donald of Newton, and Kay Esau of Wichita; sons: Clifford Esau of Colorado and Clinton Esau and wife, Tonye of Claremore, Okla. She was a member of First Mennonite Church of Newton. Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday, Sept. 30, at First Mennonite Church in Newton. Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be on Sunday, Sept. 29, from 1 to 5 p.m. at Petersen Funeral Home Chapel.
