Neva S Orr

Neva S Orr 72 died March 9, 2023 at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita, Kansas.  She was born July 21, 1950, in Wynnewood, Oklahoma to Jasper “Jack” and Gertrude L. (Klusmeyer) Anderson. On August 14, 1976, she married Preston Orr at Benton, Kansas and he survives of the home. 

Neva attended Grace Community Church in Newton and worked as a legal secretary for nearly 10 years before joining AGCO in Hesston in the print shop where she retired. 

She enjoyed her neighborhood Bible study, playing the piano and organ and could often be found reading.  Her greatest joy was her family and she looked forward to spending time with her husband, kids, granddaughter, and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents and one brother Kenneth Anderson.

Neva is survived by her husband Preston of the home; daughter Sarah Orr; son Nathan Orr; Brother James Anderson; and two sisters Lucille Vinson and Brenda Thomas.  She is also survived by her granddaughter Brooklinn.

A memorial service will be 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, March 14, 2023, at Grace Community Church in the Fireside Room with Pastor Jay Lewis officiating.   Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Monday at Petersen Funeral Home with the family receiving friends from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., Burial will be in the Hesston City Cemetery.
