Norman F. Tennyson 82 died October 9, 2023, at Newton Medical Center. He was born August 3, 1941, in Wichita, Kansas to David and Vivian (Hanes) Tennyson. On April 6, 1963, he married Sharon Ratzloff at Valley Center, Kansas and she survives of the home.
Norman served his country in the U.S. Army. He was retired as a assembler from Beech Aircraft in Wichita working nearly 38 years. He enjoyed motorcycle riding in his younger years and spending time with his wife driving around the area and exploring. One of his favorite things to do was to drive to breakfast places, he especially enjoyed the Carriage Crossing in Yoder. He was known for leaving $2 bills as tips. Family was important to Norman, and he looked forward to spending time with his loving family and friends.
He is survived by his wife Sharon of the home; 2 daughters Monica Spreier and Melissa Tennyson; 1 sister Karen Browning; 2 grandchildren Cameron and Courtney.
Norman is preceded in death by his parents 6 brothers and 2 sisters
Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Friday, October 13, 2023, at Grace Community Church in Newton. Visitation will be 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Thursday evening at Petersen Funeral Home and the casket will also be open at the church one hour prior to the funeral at the church. Burial will be in the Kechi Cemetery, Kechi, Kansas.
Memorials may be made to Caring Hands Humane Society and left in care of Petersen Funeral Home.
