Pat Klaassen

Patricia A. “Pat” Klaassen 75, died Thursday, December 31, 2015 at Asbury Park Greenhouses. She was born March 10, 1940 in Champaign, Illinois to William F. and Edith (Hildebrand) Perkins. She retired from the USD 373 Latchkey program and also worked at the former Wilson’s Drug Store as a delivery driver. Pat had a love of children and was a people person. She enjoyed “porch sitting” and interacting with her neighbors. She could be found relaxing watching old western movies and her favorite TV shows. Her family was important to her and she greatly looked forward to spending time with her loving family and friends.

Pat is survived by her daughter Michelle D. Burns-Hamm of Newton, granddaughter Kay Hamm of Newton and one sister Velma Habiger of Crestwood, Kentucky.

She is preceded in death by her parents and one sister Delores Adams.

A gathering and visitation with the family will be 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., Thursday, January 7, 2016 at Petersen Funeral Home. Private family inurnment will be at a later date.

Memorials are suggested to Asbury Park or Good Shepherd Hospice in care of Petersen Funeral Home.
