Patricia M. “Patty” Getz, 84, died on Thursday, March 19th at Via Christi-St. Francis in Wichita.

Patty was born on October 20, 1930 to Leonard and Velma (Pippin) Kelley in Newton, Kansas.

 

Patty married Kenneth R. Dingwall in 1952 and they were married for 13 years until his early death in 1966.  She later married William Charles Getz in 1967.  They were married for 26 years until his death in 1994.

 

She is survived by her children:  Kenneth, Jr. and Mary Dingwall,  Kathy (Dingwall) and Greg Devaney,  William C. Getz, Jr. and CarolJean Brune, Marsha Lavenant.  Grandchildren:  Dr. Megan Dingwall, Ryan Dingwall, Madison Devaney, Collin Devaney, Gregor Brune, Nick Lavenant and Ted Lavenant  and 6 great grandchildren.

 

She was preceded in death by her two husbands:  Kenneth R. Dingwall, William C. Getz; parents:  Leonard and Velma Kelley and grandson:  Charlie Brune.

 

Patty was a member of Salem United Methodist Church, Social Order of the Beauceant and Order of the Eastern Star.

 

She was loved by her family and will be remembered for her love for them.

 

Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 am, Wednesday, March 25 at Petersen Funeral Home Chapel.  The family will greet friends between 9:00 and 10:00 prior to the service.  The graveside committal will follow the service at Greenwood Cemetery in Newton.
