  4. Dear Family,

Cousin Paul David Hardin; I thank my Great and Mighty God for him! A great loss in this human world!! A great gain for Him and Heaven!!

Wow! Gratitude! He & Shelly kept me connected to the family through their fantastic, fun and adventurous Christmas cards and letters. I truly cherish them, and thank you! Shelly, Sam & Abigail; your milestone smiles, activities, and wondrous photographs and words gave me the greatest feelings of hope, honor and Godly pride! To see my “Hardin” family grow, year to year! Wow! You are great people and a healing blessing that honors my life to get to watch!

Hardin Family; you all are God’s grace and love in the flesh! Yeap, even in the “Hardin Clan”! It is the truth!! It feels soooo good to be able to say that, too!!

Thank you Father God, EVEN the HARDIN’s are “God Things!” Lol!!

As I see it; as a human on this earth, Paul David GRADUATED into that resting place! His GREATEST and final VICTORY.

Dear Father in Heaven, I pray, with your mercy and grace for your forgiveness in all areas of me that have, are, or going to fall short of you! Please, show me how to step-up in love to all of my family with your love, mercy and grace. Only you My Lord, My God, guide me for your will and purpose. May your mighty power flow over each and every molicule of Paul David’s life and world. Protect, hold, bless it all! Amen!

    Always and forever;
    Cousin Brenda D. (Hardin) Buttrey

  6. Shelly, I have fond memories of the time my family shared with yours. Kids playing at yours or on the soccer field. Paul was my friend and I shall miss him. Ryan, Samantha and Rachael send love and condolences. A sad loss to all, but of course, to you and yours more than any.

  9. I had the good fortune of working for Paul for many years.

So very bright, and he would always use that great sense of humor so well.

A very special person whose zest for life and the outdoors touched so many lives.

    He will be sorely missed.

  10. Thank you, I can hardly believe he’s gone but, he was a force of nature that pushed boundaries all of his life, he took stupid chances constantly and this one took his life. He was on his bicycle in a off road on gravel competition in the mountains of Arkansas. Had just cleared the summit and was headed down the mountain on a trail right next to edge. He was building up speed and some how went airborne went off the side of the mountain struck a tree that was 15 feet off of the pathway. The corner said he hit the tree so hard that it cracked his helmet, he was impelled in the chest. It was in such a remote area by the time rescue got there he had passed on. The good thing I know he follows Christ and is now in Heaven. I’m gonna miss him….rest in peace my brother, I love you

  11. I can hardly believe he is gone. Paul was a force of nature and always pushed the limits. As far back from what I can remember he was always on a bic, jumping off of anything really tall, crawling into a hole in the ground or climbing Mount Rainier just to do it. Through it all he had no fear cause he knew Christ, he knew where he was going….. rest in peace my brother, I love you!

  12. It is a sad day to hear of Paul’s passing, Many years of knowing Paul will remain in our thoughts and prayers for his family.

  13. Dear Shelley, All our sympathy on the loss of Paul. We remember him as a friend, loyal and hospitable during the years we worked together between 1994 and 2009.
We wish you, the children and family, the consolations of God.

  14. Dear Shelly, Sam and Abbi, I cannot imagine the pain you guys must be going through. Paul was an exceptional person and he touched the hearts of so many people. I am truly sorry for your loss. You are all special and I pray for your healing during this time. i have such fond memories of our times together, he will be missed terribly.

  15. I was very sorry to hear this news. Paul and I went to junior high and high school together in Hays (KS). He was a good guy and a good friend.

I live in the Wichita area, and would have gotten together with Paul if I had known he lived in Newton.

    My condolences to you all.
