Rafael "Rocky" Mancera

Rafael "Rocky" Mancera, 61, of Wichita, KS , passed away on April 18, 2023 after a hard battle with pancreatic cancer.

Rafa was born on July 11, 1961 in Morelos, Mexico. He went to school to be an architectural engineer but then decided to pursue acting. He was in a few commercials that aired in Mexico. He then became a supervisor at Mision del Sol, a resort/spa in Cuernavaca. He continued to cultivate his skills with cooking while there and met the love of his life, Cecilia. It was a whirlwind romance and they became engaged just two months after meeting. They were married on May 20th, 1988 and wanted to start a family right away. They welcomed their daughter Maria in May of 1989 and then in March of 1994, welcomed their son Rafael. Rafa's favorite sport was soccer, where he followed Club America and the Mexico National Team religiously with his son. He enjoyed nothing more than spending time with his family and making everyone around him feel like they were. He is preceded in death by his grandparents Rafael Mancera and Eloisa Enciso. He is survived by his father Rafael Mancera (Estella) of Cuernavaca, wife Cecilia, children Rafael (Kaitie) and Maria, sisters Zoar and Pilar Mancera, and grandson Luca.
