Ralph Cagle

Ralph Cagle, 82, died September 16, 2021, in Newton, Kansas.

He was born on January 1, 1939, in Henderson County, Tennessee, the son of Clyde and Jinnie (Britt) Cagle.

Ralph went to school in Miflin, Tennessee, and was a cotton chopper in the fields of Arkansas and Tennessee for most of his young life.

He then moved to Kansas, where he has lived since.

Once in Kansas Ralph’s brother, Tony, got him a job at E&H Foam Company as a foam shredder, where he worked until they went out of business.

Ralph was currently a resident at Greenhouse 405.

Ralph is survived by two sisters, Laverene Connor of Henderson, Tennessee, and Dale Piper of Salina, Kansas.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Clyde Jr., Tony and Max Cagle; and two sisters, Katherine LaCoss and Eliza Billingsley.

A graveside inurnment will take place at 2:00pm, Monday, September 20, 2021 at Greenwood Cemetery.

  1. I’m sorry but My Uncle worked for Gene Harrison @ E & H Foam company as a foam shredder.
    Mr Harrison knew Ralph had disabilities and gave him a chance where he worked many years for him.

  2. I drove a cab in Newton for 20 years and often would take him to the store and back home. If I saw him walking I would offer him a free ride especially in colder weather.
