Robert L. Knapp 72, died December 8, 2021 at NMC Health. He was born May 11, 1949 in Mitchell, South Dakota to Bob and Betty (Atkinson) Knapp.

He is survived by his wife Jean Knapp; sons: Kevin and Chris Knapp and one sister Beverly Ann Manning. He is also survived by 4 grandchildren Courtney, Michael, Hadley and Everett.

A memorial service will be 11:00 a.m., Thursday, December 16, 2021 at Petersen Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Richard Rehmert presiding

Memorials may be made to the Gary Sinese Foundation and left in care of Petersen Funeral Home

  1. My condolences to you all for your loss. Bob and I were classmates in Jr High and High school. We shared many campfires, duckblinds, fishing holes, and a big part of our early lives. I still think of those times fondly, great memories. I’m sorry for his passing.

  2. Bob was my brother-in-law and good friend. I knew him as a good father and grandfather. He dearly love Kevin’s four children and they met the world to him. My condolences to Jean, Beverly, Chris, and Kevin. The Lord took a great man to soon.

  3. Bobby and I went to school together we play sports together we were in Boy Scouts he was the 2nd Eagle Scout in troop 427 he went with my parents to put me on the plane to VetNam he was my friend I am sorry for your loss all my memories are good ones

  4. I new Bobby many year as a boy to grown man. Many year of Scouting , was his troop leader when he earned his Eagle Award. He will be greatly missed. Great family and many memories .George Naylor Jr.
