Robert Lee Robinson, 75, of Goessel, died August 19, 2016 surrounded by his loving family. He was born August 13, 1941 in Nevada, Missouri to Francis and Marie Robinson. Robert was a graduate of Humbolt High School, and served in the United States Army, stationed in Germany. Robert and Deborah (Sicka) married May 26, 1983, in Iola, Kansas. He enjoyed traveling around Kansas, and he loved Bass fishing, especially in ponds. Time with his grandchildren was cherished, he loved teasing them. Robert worked at AGCO as a painter until he retired. He is preceded in death by his parents, Francis and Marie Robinson. He is survived by his wife, Deborah Robinson; daughter, Susan McMurtrey; stepdaughters, Stacy Haire, Anna Braden, Cheri Irvin; stepsons, James Light, Scott Light, Eric Walters; brother, Earnest Robinson; 16 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. You’ll be missed
I called him Dad, I saw his bass boat in his drive and knocked on his door and invited him to join our bass club. Our friendship blossomed, many years of fishing together. He was a wonderful friend and will be missed greatly. My condolences to his family.
