Rolland Dreier, 92, of Goessel, Kansas, went to be with the Lord on Monday, December 18th, 2023, at NMC in Newton, Kansas. Born in November 1931 in Newton, he was the son of Roy and Lillian Dreier. Rolland graduated from Newton High School in 1949 and married Donna Dillman in 1950. They had four children, sharing joyful experiences of camping, fishing, and boating as a family.
Rolland worked as a farmer, stockman, and truck driver for various companies, retiring in 2005. Fond memories included delivering Grasshoppers mowers, and he spoke warmly of the friends he made during his trucking days. Rolland, a generous soul, continued helping others by mowing grass for neighbors, the Highland Trinity church, and the VFW in Newton. In the winter, he dedicated himself to clearing snow for all his neighbors.
Woodworking was Rolland's cherished passion, with projects for family, crafting wooden American flags, and creating memorial flag display cases for veterans. He reveled in time spent with children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Rolland lived in Hesston until his later years when he moved into The Bethesda Home in Goessel, receiving excellent care with love and kindness until his passing. Preceded in death by his wife Donna, parents Roy and Lillian, brother Robert, and sister Marjorie. Rolland is survived by his children Robert (Connie) Dreier, Stephen (Karen) Dreier, Jimetta (Ron) Wiebe, and Leon (Melba) Dreier, along with four grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, two step grandchildren and three step great grandchildren. Rolland will be remembered for his kind, loving heart, and deeply cherished by family and those fortunate to know him.
