Ruby J. Boucher

Ruby J. Boucher, 93, passed away on Monday, December 5, 2016 at Via Christi St. Francis in Wichita.

 

Ruby was born on August 11, 1923 in Newton, Kansas to Edward and Freda A. (Beck) Stahl.

 

Ruby was married to Harold McCart and later Virgil C. Boucher. They both preceded her in death.

 

Ruby began her working career with Boeing. She was a member of the “Rosie the Riveters” workers who supported the troops during the World War II. After the war, she worked for the telephone company, retiring from Southwestern Bell in 1989.

 

Ruby loved to travel and camp in their trailer.  She enjoyed playing games, cards, board games and especially “Mexican Dominoes”.

 

Ruby is survived by her children: Richard (Barbara) McCart, David Wayne McCart; Daughter in Law: Bertha McCart, brother: Ed Stahl; six grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, and eleven great great grandchildren.  She is also survived by three step daughters. She was preceded in death by her husbands: Harold McCart and Virgil C. Boucher; brother: John Stahl and sons: Robert Dean and Victor McCart.

 

Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Monday, December 12, 2016 at St. Andrews Lutheran Church in Wichita, Kansas.  A graveside committal service is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. at Greenwood Cemetery, Newton, Kansas on Monday, December 12th.   A visitation is scheduled on Sunday, December 11th at Petersen Funeral Home from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. The family will be present to greet friends and family.

 

A memorial has been established for St. Andrews Lutheran Church and Rainbows United, both of Wichita. Petersenfamilyfuneralhome.com.
