Mrs. Senaida Pineda, age 76, of Loraine,TX formerly of Newton, Kansas died Tuesday, July 8, 2014, at her daughter’s residence. Services will be at 10 AM Thursday, July 10 2014, in the Kiker-Seale Chapel with Rev. Felix Silva officiating. Burial will be Saturday July 12, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. in the Greenwood Cemetery in Newton, KS. Local arrangements are under the care and direction of Petersen Funeral Home. Mrs. Pineda was born March 30, 1938 in Bastrop, TX to Enrique and Adella Galvan Castillo and was a longtime resident of Newton, KS. She married Arturo Pineda on June 5, 1965. He preceded her in death on August 30, 2010. She was a homemaker and a member of the Baptist Church. She is survived by 1 daughter, Angela and husband, Dell Haltom of Loraine; 5 sons: Andrew Pineda of Newton, KS, Saul and wife, Elaine Pineda of Wolf City, TX, Johnny and wife Carolyn Pineda of TN; Artie and wife, Jennifer Pineda of IN, and Ricky and wife Teresa Pineda of Abilene, KS; 2 brothers: Henry Castillo of Colorado City and Tony Castillo of Big Spring; 2 sisters: Connie Garcia of Divine, TX and Esperanza Davila of Odessa;13 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
