Terry D. Jennings
Terry D. Jennings, 70, passed away at his home in Newton on March 6, 2019.
Terry was born on November 1, 1948 in Salina, Kansas to Robert and Mary (Bolby) Jennings.
Terry was a graduate of Salina High School and upon graduation was inducted into the US Army. Terry served in the infantry in Vietnam from 1970-1971 and was the recipient of two bronze stars.
Terry married Jeanie Lairmore on December 4, 1989 in Redstone, Colorado. They were married for 29 years prior to his death.
Terry worked in construction and at Johns Manville Manufacturing Plant in McPherson, Kansas for 23 years. He enjoyed football, was a hard worker, and was devoted to his family. He was a loving husband, father and brother. He adored his daughter Mindy.
He is survived by his wife: Jeanie; daughter: Mindy and Jonathan Cordova; siblings: Judy Wilcox, Diane and Delvin Peterman, Debbie and Peck Hayden, Ace and Annetta Holcom, and Susan and Roger Sweat.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Robert and Mary Jennings; and siblings: David Jennings and Neysa Ballein.
A memorial service is scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Friday, March 15, 2019 at Petersen Funeral Home Chapel in Newton. A graveside committal will be held at McPherson City Cemetery following the service. There will not be a public visitation.
